Our Publication

ImpactInk applies a critical, human-centered lens to the world's most pressing issues. We move beyond the headlines to deconstruct global power dynamics, from international policy debates to grassroots social movements, always centering the voices of those most impacted.

The goal of ImpactInk is to foster a deeper understanding of our interconnected world through critical, human-centered journalism. We are dedicated to deconstructing complex global issues—from state accountability and international law to human rights and social justice movements.

Our work moves beyond borders to examine the universal themes that shape lives and societies. By providing a platform for expert analysis that is accessible, educational, and committed to re-evaluating representation, we aim to uncover the human consequences of policy and power.

As an independent reader-supported publication, ImpactInk is building a global community dedicated to meaningful dialogue and journalism with consequence.

How to Submit

ImpactInk publishes thought-provoking, story-driven journalism and commentary on a wide range of topics, including grassroots activism, labor, gender equality, social impact and justice in Bangladesh and beyond. We’re looking for original, insightful writing that challenges dominant narratives, sparks conversation, and deepens understanding of current events.

We welcome pitches from journalists, practitioners, researchers, and storytellers who have something new to say about aid, development, power, accountability, or innovation within Bangladesh’s nonprofit and philanthropic spaces. While we prioritize contributors based in or connected to the Global Majority, we welcome contributions on development issues more broadly. If you are unsure about your submission, please email the Editor-In-Chief, wardah@bacharlorai.com, to see if your ideas would be a good fit for ImpactInk.

We’re especially interested in:

  • Reported features rooted in on-the-ground experiences

  • Essays or commentary that interrogate trends or institutional behaviour

  • Profiles of change-makers, organizations, or initiatives disrupting the status quo

  • Deep dives into policy, funding practices, or the politics of impact

Please send a short pitch (150–300 words) outlining your proposed article, why it matters, and how you’ll report or frame it. Include a brief bio and links to (or PDFs of) relevant past work. We do not accept previously published work or AI-generated content.

Email pitches to wardah@bacharlorai.com with the subject line “Pitch: [Your Title].” We aim to respond within 2–3 weeks with details on the publishing process. If you haven’t heard back after that, feel free to follow up.

Thank you for considering Impact Ink. We’re building a space for rigorous, locally rooted writing that centers care, curiosity, and critique.
